He has been a volunteer firefighter for the Lakeville, Minn. Fire Department since 2002 and has served on the NFPA Technical Committee for Residential Sprinkler Systems since 2009. He is the chair of the Fire Sprinkler Product Line Committee for the Plastic Pipe and Fittings Association (PPFA) and serves on the Residential Committee for NFSA. He is also a member of the UL Standards Technical Panel 1821 for Thermoplastic Sprinkler Pipe and Fittings for Fire Protection Service. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and a master’s certificate in Project Management from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
